The Food Market Columbia

After reading rave reviews, we couldn't resist trying the mozzarella sticks, and they certainly lived up to the hype. Crispy on the outside and wonderfully gooey on the inside, accompanied by delicious marinara sauce. It was tough to choose from the menu because everything sounded amazing. We decided to share a chicken sandwich, which they kindly cut in half and served with two plates of fries. The homemade relish was the highlight for me. For dessert, we chose the mini Heather bar pancakes as an appetizer. Wow! They were superb. I’m already looking forward to returning to sample some of the many other enticing dishes we had to pass up this time.

The restaurant offers an excellent selection of dishes and cocktails. I appreciate the variety of portion sizes available, from small plates to large servings. However, if you're on a diet, you might find the options limited. You certainly won't leave feeling hungry! The ambiance is also enjoyable. As I noted in the photo, I deducted a full star from my dining experience due to the unattractive and uncomfortable chairs. If that doesn’t bother you, this place is definitely a solid 4-star restaurant.

Our server was pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. We started with the Big Ole' Mozzarella Sticks, which were three enormous sticks, and the Buffalo Pickles served with Gorgonzola dressing. Both were delicious. I ordered the Hot Pastrami sandwich while my colleague had the BBQ Salmon Salad, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was served quickly and hot. I also appreciated that they were showcasing the work of a local artist, Cohen. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I definitely plan to return!

I visited during restaurant week and had a fantastic experience with the food. While the service was a bit slow, as we waited 45 minutes for our first dish, it was generally good. The atmosphere is clean and aesthetically pleasing, with a minimalistic design. The food is certainly the main draw here, as they offer unique interpretations of classic dishes.

This was our first visit to the Columbia, MD location, and we enjoyed brunch. The portion sizes were generous for the price, and the food was fantastic. I also tried a cocktail—a raspberry vodka martini—and it was excellent. Thank you for a delightful experience!
