Average Joe's - Columbus

It's disappointing because we used to be regular customers, visiting every couple of weeks. I was informed that the bartender—who was very professional—tried to get the servers' attention, and I appreciate that, but it didn't help. My husband and his friends noted that the place wasn't extremely busy, with many tables open, and it didn't appear to be short-staffed since the servers were standing at other tables, just chatting. It felt like they were selectively serving customers. Some other regulars even asked my husband’s table if they had a server, which is telling. For other customers to notice that speaks volumes. We typically enjoy coming here and love Luke, but after today’s experience, we won't be returning again.

I'm not usually one to complain or write reviews, but after my experience here, I felt compelled to share. My friends and I waited for over an hour without receiving any service. We approached the bar multiple times, and the bartender was quick to serve us drinks, but despite that, we were left without a server. Even the regular customers noticed and asked if we had a server. We waved to several servers, but not one came to take our order. I don’t plan on returning to this establishment. As a person of color, I didn’t feel welcome here.

I visited for the first time today and tried the southwest chicken wrap with fries, while my companion had the turf and bird. The food was really good, although my fries were extremely salty. I asked the waitress for a fresh batch, and she gladly brought me another, which was excellent! The boneless wings were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that the seats in the first booth were not clean, which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five. We will definitely come back again.

I just had dinner at Average Joe's. Had a big burger, great prices on my IPA. Service was great, food was very good (fast with burgers and sweet potatoes fries. Great food. Wings have good taste, not really sharp. I had the volcano Joe. Good for work. Server/Bartender was excellent. Very attentive, efficient and personal. Come back soon.
