The first thing I noticed walking in was that smell.. something good is cooking..! Jim greeted us at the door and ushered us to a table with a little chitchat.. friendly place. My wife ordered a small Hawaiian Calzone.. I ordered a large deep dish with four toppings.. we played the video game.. felt like we slipped into a time warp back to the 70’s.. classic rock playing in the kitchen, the Packman music and ohhh.. that smell of garlic and all the other spices melded in the air.. Our food came, the calzone was perfect!! My wife ate the whole thing.. surprisingly!! My pizza was exactly what I was expecting..almost 3” thick, tomato sauce on top of the melted cheese that bonded everything together.. and the first bite of mixed spices.. omg!! So yummy for the tummy!! This is the place the big chain pizza joints wish they could be.. Yes, our first time there and we will be back!! These reviews are important. We drove across town to try this place because of the reviews.. I liked that the team seemed to pay attention as well and responded to the negative feedback. If you want REAL tavern style, chicago style, homemade pizza, this is where you go! Just walking into Billy's restaurant took me back to Sweet Home chicago. I will be back soon for more pizza

Was craving Chicago style pizza on vacation as we love it and don’t have much to choose from where we live. Happen to see this place and gave it a try. The owner greeted us and helped us with the menu as well as gave us some things to try. Enjoyed talking with the owner about Chicago and things to do locally in the Springs. Such a nice guy and he loves working and loves his restaurant! Everything was made from scratch and delicious! My 12 year old said it was the best restaurant experience he’s had . Mozzarella sticks and pizza were really good and we definitely recommend! We will be back if in Colorado Springs again!

Honestly the guy probably makes really good pizza but is very rude to his customers. We were willing to wait for our pizza but then he went ahead and told the staff to cancel our order. Would not recommend if you value good customer service.
