Koon Thai Kitchen - Concord

The meat on 3 of the 4 dishes was very hard chewing. The flavors were very good.

Excellent and unique Thai food! The eggplant roast with chicken was delicious, but the Ocean Thai Seafood dish was from this world. All seafood (common portions); Shells, scallops, squid, shrimps, fish and a wonderful mix of vegetables that somehow all worked together) were perfectly cooked. Service was also wonderful. This place is my dad's favorite place.

Soup was not warm Curry was watery. I have experienced Thai food in different places, but this was not standard.

The food is delicious. Mango Shrimps Curry is a must have, they can improve service, but overall it is a tasty Thai restaurant in Concord.

Let's talk Thai. We all have our favorites pad thai, pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, curry, the list goes on. No matter what your favorite is, I can almost guarantee that you will not only find it here, but also absolutely love it. Koon Thai Kitchen is my personal go to for my Thai food cravings when I'm in the San Diego area. My personal favorites are their moo duo platter (which is an assortment of pork in a sweet savory sauce) and their pad see ew both classic Thai dishes, but made extremely well here. The portions are quite sizable that I find myself always with leftovers (perfect for a second meal). Of note, my spice tolerance is practically non existent. These dishes are in my wheelhouse, and I find them both enjoyable and flavorful. Now, if you are a spice lover, then fear not. They definitely don't skimp on the spice here, so your tongue will be in good hands. All in all, if you love Thai food, then you should definitely check out Koon Thai Kitchen!
