Cuckoo Trattoria Pizzeria - Coombs

We had a wonderful evening strolling the market area, spotting the goats and having a lovely meal at Cuckoo. We finished our night with gelato and we were very happy. We didn't have a reservation and they were able to accommodate our party of 6 quickly and promptly on a Wednesday evening. The kids loved their food and the adults loved their pastas! We eat out frequently and we all loved the fresh/ quality and mostly local ingredients in our dishes. We look forward to returning with more friends next time.

I wanted to like this place so much. Great setting! Beautiful Patio. What a great place to dine with friends on a gorgeous summer night in such a glorious part of the world. Sadly, the food was a horrible disappointment. The first clue was the fact that our food came about 5 minutes after ordering it. It was a very busy evening which told us this was not very fresh. I had the seafood pasta and while the seafood was fine, the pasta was an over cooked bowl of mush...the worst pasta i can ever remember eating. Worse than hospital food or my old dorm cafeteria. It was falling apart and tasted as if it had been cooked for several hours and heated up many times over. I couldn't even eat it. My daughter's risotto was swimming in a pool of oil and tasted just terrible. Avoid this place....factory line food. Couldn't have been much worse.

A busy place but very good. The food is authentic Italian with a little Canadian spin. The restaurant looks like a place in Tuscany and the staff is friendly and we'll trained. It's a busy place and you better call well in advance for reservations. They have a good wine list and I even was able to get my preferred Campari.

On the evening of August the17th 2017 I had reserved a table for 13. It was a family & friends get together, I was looking forward to a very special evening. First of all the table arrangement was poor, the food was even worse, our server was okay, but lacked the experience.I live in the area, but would never go back, or recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed a nice cool beverage on the beautiful large patio. We shared several different appetizers and they were all tasty. Nice stop to recharge in the afternoon.
