And when I say bad, I mean terrible. Aside from being very hot, which is best, it had nothing to do with it. I can't speak to other dishes they sell as I haven't tried them. Based on the reviews many people like the food here. So be it. If you want good clam chowder, I recommend The Schooner in Netarts Bay, or The Wharfside in Monterey. Also there is a great little square in Florence. Avoid Moe like the plague. If you like Moes's, you might think the chowder here is outstanding. Do what you can, you've been warned!
This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I had a good experience. My family and I recently moved to the area and were looking to try a local spot, and we found this gem. The young lady working at the counter was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Kudos to the entire staff for a job well done. We definitely plan on returning in the future.
I got the kids sized fish and chips and I'm glad, it was the perfect amount. Hubby got the regular sized and it came with a lot of fish and chips! Fish was perfectly breaded , crispy and juicy. It was not greasy. I also got a small clam chowder and I come from sonoma county not far from bodega bay and the chowder I had today was DEVINE. I highly highly recommend this place. They technically have a small menu, you order first, pay and then pick where you want to sit. I wanna go back and have more!!
The restaurant was decent, but not exceptional. The clam chowder had a strong bacon flavor and tasted like sour cream. It was a bit too rich for my taste, but it may suit others. The fish and chips were good. It's a pleasant spot to dine outdoors. I recommend trying the promenade on a chilly day.
I had heard great things about the seafood at this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. I ordered the fish and chips, which were some of the best I've had on the coast. My wife had the clam chowder bread bowl and she really enjoyed it, which says a lot because she's picky about chowder. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant, as they offer both takeout and dine-in options at reasonable prices.
