I stood at the bar for 10 minutes for the ignorant woman to walk past me 4 times, working at the bar in front of me (not serving customers) and not even acknowledging that I am standing there. The place certainly wasn't busy and based on this experience I can see why.
Had a 2 night stay here last weekend and can say the hotel are doing a great job. The rooms were lovely and a enormous, warm and clean. The food in the hotel was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They have all the systems in place for a safe stay.
I am saying a big THANK YOU to all the present and former staff at the Pennington Hotel that I have met whilst on my visits. All of you have been friendly and helpful; and it has been greatly appreciated. I cannot remember everyones names but here are a few: Kieran, Lynne, Sue, Gina, Kirsty, Amy, Emma, Dani, Kate, Helen, Kath, Jackie, Becky, Kym and Kelly. My very best wishes to you all and thanks again.
Stopped here with our 2 golden retrievers after our walk lovely dog friendly atmosphere lovely staff refurbished very tastefully we will be back thankyou
We took the two executive en suite bedrooms at the northern end of the hotel, overlooking the basin into which three rivers flow. Depending on the weather and the state of the tide, the view was constantly changing, and we woke in the morning to the cries of the curlew and oystercatcher. The bar is large and comfortable, and the food in the dining-room, whether at breakfast or dinner, varied and excellent.
