I went to this restaurant with a friend for dinner. I am new to Korean food, but this place has a fusion or Chinese twist to it. We ordered the japchae, rice, and tangsuyuk. The japchae was delicious and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked noodles. Mixing it with the rice added a nice touch. The tangsuyuk, which consisted of crispy pieces of pork in a sweet and sour sauce, was tasty but quite large. The pork paired well with the sauce, though it was a bit dry on its own. Despite our best efforts, two of us couldn't finish it all. The prices were fair for the portions. The restaurant itself was average, nothing special, but they had special seating for larger groups that was partially covered. At least that's what it seemed like to me.
Great restaurant at the end of an outdoor Korean mall (Hanin Village). Don't get fooled by the location it is a little hard to find while it is located at the end of a mall. This restaurant's food is great and the portions are generous....My meal could easily feed 2 people. Highly recommend if you are in Coquitlam. Service super fast!!! Nice and spicy you'll need a lot of napkins as your nose will drip! Lots of variety for everyone.
My family went to this restaurant and thought the food was very authentic Korean/Chinese style food that was really good. We tried fried rice and spicy noodle soup (jjam bbong), and I definitely recommend to come to this restaurant when you are quick, high quality tasting...food, that will be your money!
My colleagues took me out to a Korean restaurant in Coquitlam near Lougheed Town Center called BBong Korean Restaurant. It is located right next to the Korean supermarket, H Mart. My employee mentioned that this place is known for their chicken, so I was excited to try it. We arrived at 6:30 after work on a Monday and the restaurant was not very crowded. We ordered the family combo which included jajangmyeon, jjampong, and tansuyuk/kanpoongi for $30. Despite being warned that it would be a lot of food for just the two of us, we decided to go for it. The food arrived after a short wait and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes for the price. The food looked and tasted delicious, especially the spicy seafood noodles and the chicken, which reminded me of a special dish from my hometown. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Overall, it was a great experience dining at BBong Korean Restaurant and I would definitely recommend it to my friends for delicious food at affordable prices.
