Golden Boot Cafe - Coquitlam

Friends recommended the Golden Boot. Having lived in the area for over 15 years, we had never heard of it, but have gone there twice within a week; once for dinner & once for lunch. I had them combine a couple of dishes to make a Gnocchi with Mushroom Cream Sauce.....absolutely delicious! Other dishes at our table were Gnocchi with Tomato Basil, Spaghetti, and Lasagna. Everyone loved their meals. Second visit for lunch, I decided to go with a pizza, which was also very good. Definitely recommending to all of my friends!

Had to wait longer than we were told but they do take reservations, next time. Good variety in the menu and the staff work hard. Food was good but could use a little more flavoring and cheese.

Our favourite restaurant , don't know where to begin. The pasta is made fresh everyday, the food is excellent. The portions are large, served promptly and warm.. The staff are great, they remember the customers and are all courteous and helpful. The café offers fantastic specials everyday that are not on the menu, but are all ways delicious and sometimes adventurous as the sometimes include foods that we haven't tried, such venison. If the café is busy you can get take out and enjoy the same food at home. We try to go once a week for sure.The price and value are very good and we have never had a bad experience at the café. If you are going it would be advisable to make a reservation as they are very busy. Almost always the sign of a good place to eat.

I have been several times with my family or friends and it is consistently good food. So many great items on the menu. I love the thin crust pizza.

The Italian food is authentic & delicious, including the wonderful thin crust pizzas. The sauces are all home made with great spices & fresh ingredients. There have been 2 occasions that disappointed, once when the restaurant patrons were treated as secondary due to the owners catering an off-site wedding that resulted in half the menu being unavailable to on-hand customers. Another time the oven was busy with something else ... so no pizzas for the customers. This is a small place so get a reservation on weekends. The atmosphere is ok, but not exceptional.
