We ordered two margherita pizzas and a Fanta and coke. The pizza is authentic style Italian pizza from the south of Italy .The dough was soft, with really good tomato sauce however the mozzarella was dry instead of creamy. The decor is very dark with black walls and dim lights which I actually like. The staff are polite however my only critique would be for the waitresses to bring the pizza straight to the table once the pizza is placed on the plate by the chef . We noticed that our pizzas were sitting there for approximately 6 mins before the waitress served it to us. I think this harden the mozzarella and made it dry as well. I lived in Italy for 6 years and once pizza is out of the oven put on the plate it’s given straight to the customer. I will go back to burnt as their pizza is part of my top 3 in cork but the next time I see my pizza left to lie out instead of being served straight away I will sent it straight back for a fresh one.
I love this restaurant! I went there with my brother and sister on a trip to cork and it was such a good decision. The pizza was so delicious, really crispy and the flavours were beautiful. The pizzas can be made gluten free so that was a huge bonus for me! The interior of the restaurant is so lovely, and the people were really nice, especially the waiter who was really smiley. I’d definitely recommend this place.
Sat down here for a lunch on our travels and we were greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff. Lots of variety on offer (they even have Italian beer) and the food came quickly. We had ordered the Napolitano pizza and we were stunned; that is still one of the best pizzas we've ever had (including pizzas from Italy here). Amazing pizza and well worth the visit.
Top-notch, professional service by Saoirse, followed by an exquisite meal. This reviewer can submit that this was easily the best pizza he’s ever had. Crunchy-crusted pizza, with a delicately textured inner; I cannot possibly stress enough how good this pizza was, especially as leftovers for breakfast. There is a new bar.
