Ol' Steakhouse Co. - Corpus Christi

I went to this restaurant for a steak dinner, but was disappointed with the appetizer I ordered, the stuffed mushrooms were terrible. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, but after the disappointing start, I decided to leave. It was also notable that many of the patrons did not seem to be enjoying their meals, which speaks volumes about the overall dining experience. It's a shame that I had high hopes for this place, but it seems like it has lost its touch.

I visited Corpus with some friends and we decided to check out this place. Don't let the location or appearance of this restaurant deceive you - the food was excellent! I had a 6-ounce steak, loaded baked potatoes, a house salad, tea, and a slice of cheesecake for just $28. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, tender, juicy, and flavorful. The sides were also delicious and the cheesecake was fantastic. While the outside of the restaurant may look a bit old, the atmosphere inside was beautiful and inviting. Overall, it was great value for the money and the staff was very friendly, especially our waitress. I was pleasantly surprised by our dining experience.

Although the restaurant may appear outdated, the food is phenomenal! The rattlesnake bites were a generous size and delicious. The Caesar salad was excellent. My New York strip steak was cooked to perfection, just the way I like it. Bill, our bartender and server, provided excellent service. I would definitely return to dine here again.

My man and I decided to try a new restaurant tonight and are really happy that we did. from the short waiting period to the crab-sticked mushrooms and the ribeye steak was the meal delicious. Oh! I almost forgot to mention the piece of carrot cake!

Nice place, good atmosphere but the service is a little slow and not attentive. The management is awful. We saw a manager get on to an employee in the middle of the restaurant. The food is hit and miss; not always consistent. Their corn chowder soup is good. Their steaks are amazing is you catch them on the right day; if not, they are mediocre. Their sides are good, especially their baked potato and sweet potato.
