Grand Central Grill - Cottonwood Falls

One of our favorite spots! The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious, and the service is outstanding!

Susan, great meal last night. Our friends from Texas really enjoyed the food and atmosphere on their first visit to the Grand Central. Always a pleasure seeing you and the friendly staff there.

Thanks to Susan and her staff for putting up with 20 old hot rodders for lunch today. it was very good and the young lady wating on us was GREAT! We will be back if you will have us The ROMEO Club. (retired old men eating out)

My husband ordered a steak with mashed potatoes on the side, but he only received those two items—no butter, no parsley garnish, and once again, no bread. It was just a steak and a hefty serving of what seemed like reheated leftover potatoes from the weekend. My rice pilaf was quite similar, simply a reheated mound that lacked flavor. The shrimp was decent, but again, it was presented with no bread or any sort of garnish to enhance the dish, such as parsley. Presentation is important to some diners. While our waitress was friendly, she appeared rushed and somewhat distracted, coming off as quite blunt. Strangely, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, with only two tables occupied. On a positive note, the margaritas were really good. When I inquired about breakfast for the next morning, the waitress informed me that it was served from 8 to 10 and suggested I head to the next town for a donut instead. That seemed quite odd to me—why would she direct a customer to eat somewhere else? We’ll probably return, but hopefully on a weekend for a better experience.
