Arby's - Council Bluffs

Arby's buffalo chicken sandwich takes me back to a cold winter night when I had to drive my partner five hours to drop him off for a lengthy tour. We paused in Indiana at an Arby's, a place I had never tried and wasn't particularly excited about. We both ordered the buffalo chicken sandwiches and sat on the curb in the dark, eating in silence. To my surprise, the sandwich was delicious, even as I shed salty tears. It was remarkable how something could taste so good amidst the bittersweet emotions that often accompanied change.

I always have a great experience at Arby’s! The food is consistently fresh and well-prepared. I appreciate that the hot items are served hot, and the cold items are cold, which is important to me—improper temperatures can really ruin a meal. The staff always makes sure my orders are correctly prepared, even when I ask for some unusual combinations! The kitchen and employees are always clean. I want to give huge compliments to the crew; they do an awesome job in this picky lady's opinion!

As for the staff, they're not particularly friendly or helpful, but considering it's a fast food place at a truck stop, it's to be expected. Is the food fresh? Usually, yes. Is it tasty? Occasionally. Is it acceptable to eat? Most of the time. Will your order be made quickly and served without delay? Generally, yes.

Would I have preferred a shorter wait? Absolutely, but it was dinner time and they were quite busy. The service was excellent. I ordered a Coke and lemonade mix, which was delicious, and the staff member at the window was exceptionally friendly.

The crispy chicken bacon Swiss sandwich was fantastic! I would recommend this place just for that sandwich. I have a feeling the others are great too. My daughter and her friend were very happy with the classic roast beef and had no complaints. The person taking our order at the window was also very polite. Thank you so much!
