The experience starts from the parking itself with serene breeze calm environment. A smart entry a ever eager staff ensure you would select the right wine for your meal! After few swirls fake glass clinkings by me ; we settled for a fruity yet less sweet house wine. For main course we ordered Pork belly roast, fish steak the meat steak! The pork belly being served first was served on a bed of salads! Crispy yet juicy ensured you would relish each bite!! The fish was definitely well rounded tasty considering an Indian palate how finicky we are with our fishes, it tingled the taste buds at the right spots! The meat steak was well done as ordered , succulent ,juicy can't stop with one bite. Really tasty with all its marination well synergized with the meat!! The wine keeping pace with our meal ensured we had true blue vineyard experience. Definitely a must visit!
Unfortunately, the service was utterly disappointing. We waited about half an hour after finishing our lunch for someone to clear our plates and take our dessert order. When no one arrived, my husband went to the register to grab some menus. After another 20 minutes, he had to return to actually find someone to take our order, and only then did they clear our plates. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, so I’m not sure what went wrong. For dessert, we enjoyed a flourless chocolate brownie sundae with burnt caramel ice cream and honeycomb, accompanied by coffee. I only wished it had been larger! I also speculated whether the chocolate honeycomb was house-made, as it tasted a bit store-bought. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. Rather than waiting for the bill, we went to the counter to pay. I was glad to have the Entertainment Card to ease my frustration over the poor service. It’s a shame because the food was excellent. Hopefully, this was just an off day for the staff.
I made a reservation for breakfast for 8 people and ended up adding 4 more at the last minute. Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate us at the same table. The waitress made us feel guilty for inviting extra friends and went on to complain to anyone nearby about how she was busy preparing lunch for 110 guests. What about our breakfast? Our coffees arrived after the food, which itself was delayed because of an enormous side of bacon. The food was decent but nothing special. If you're looking for a relaxed breakfast experience, I'd recommend skipping this place.
The restaurant is no longer open for dining. I was next door at the Taunton Bauernhof Holiday Park.
They are closed
