Fortuna Fish and Chips - Cowes

The woman behind the counter was blowing her nose between serving customers. We both got sick within 3 days with a cold flu. Can’t say for sure it was from her but the practice was disgusting.. to see that in today’s world after being through Covid was a shock. We should have trusted our guts and gone elsewhere. To the woman behind the counter don’t come to work if you’re sick and even more so don’t blow your nose without washing your hands after, each and every time if you’re insisting on being at work

The staff seemed impatient and had difficulty understanding English. I tried to order 2 pieces of calamari but ended up being charged for 4 pieces with chips. There were too many chips because I also ordered fish and chips. The fish was disappointing. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I would never recommend this restaurant. My partner and I both experienced stomach aches and nausea after eating the fish and chips. I would give the food a rating of 1 out of 5.
