Contribuisci feedbackI had the roasted lamb and seafood marinara and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but considering how busy it was in December 2020, it was understandable. I would recommend calling ahead to make a reservation to ensure you have a seat.
We had a wonderful evening at Sherwoods with our welcoming hosts. I ordered the scotch fillet and it was the best steak I've had in years - perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and the rosemary jus sauce was delicious. My partner really enjoyed the oven baked salmon. The only downside was that the atmosphere was a bit lacking, some soft background music would have been a nice addition. We will definitely be returning next time!
I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant hidden away in Cowes. I ordered the eye fillet with vegetables and house cut potatoes. Firstly, I liked that the steak was 250gm rather than 300gm or more offered in other eateries as I find those higher weight steaks overpower a meal. The steak was cooked to perfection (rare) and was juicy and tender. The vegetables were crisp, fresh and full of flavour, and the house cut potatoes were golden crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, the meal was perfect. The staff were welcoming and attentive making sure you had everything you wanted. Next time you're in Cowes and your looking for something a little more up market than a cafe or pub, give Sherwoods a go.
The service at this restaurant was excellent and the food was incredible. I tried the chicken parma, which was one of the best I've ever had, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her duck dish. We finished off our meal with a delicious sticky date pudding and wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Phillip Island.
Great salmon, seafood marinara, tiramisu and sticky date pudding. Friendly staff made us feel welcomed which made for enjoyable experience on the night. Will definitely be going back. Would also recommend calling ahead and making a reservation a few days ahead as we were on a wait list and lucky to get a booking.
