Contribuisci feedbackA colorful tavern in a charming village. I visited LIVAS more than once this summer for food, mood and people. The tavern serves many Greek dishes for vegetarians. As a vegan I enjoyed the hummus (this is AMAZING the best I had during life in Greece), the traditional Greek dish 'Fava' and salads. I also heard great things about their vegan falafel cake (with gluten). The cook asked me to let them know one day in advance that I came to eat at LIVAS for the second time. In this way she could prepare a personalized vegan meal. And her! A gluten-free vegan burger for me and my friend. Great! I'm back with LIVAS. Updated from previous review on 2018 01 03
We ordered four appetizer dishes since there were no vegan main courses available. Each dish was priced at around 5€, but the portions were very small. We received a small plate of hummus and eggplant salad, a small beetroot salad, and six falafel (along with a glass of wine) for 25€. While this may have been enough for one person if they were hungry, it was not sufficient for two people. We were still hungry after finishing our meal. Despite the delicious food and amazing view, we will not be returning due to the small portion sizes for the price. The restaurant is not located on the main road, so it may be difficult to find - be sure to check on Google Maps. (Review updated on 2021-10-08)
LIVAS is a vibrant taverna located in a charming village. I have visited this establishment multiple times this summer for its delicious food, lively atmosphere, and friendly staff. LIVAS offers a wide variety of Greek dishes suitable for vegetarians, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions like myself, as a vegan. I particularly enjoyed their hummus, which is the best I have ever tasted in Greece, as well as their 'Fava' dish and salads. I have also heard rave reviews about their vegan falafel pie (gluten-free). The chef kindly asked me to notify her in advance of my second visit so she could prepare a personalized vegan meal for me, which turned out to be a delightful gluten-free vegan burger for myself and my friend. I will definitely be returning to LIVAS in the future.
