Bakhan - Croydon

The boys at Bakhan strike again!!!!! The food is to die for in this joint. Hands down the best Kurdish restaurant in South London if not London. The lamb kozi just melts in your mouth and the rice is just pillowly soft, perfection! The team here is just amazing and so hospitable. The environment is rustic and clean and reminds me of a time gone by. Trust me people if you want amazing food come to this place, you will be licking your fingers and leave with new memories and a new place you can count on for great food! Bakhan never dissapoints!!! Top tips: Ask the Shaam and Shwan the Chef for recommendations, they are honest and will give you the best. Try the shwarmas, the salad here is tasty and fresh. The tea is great.. add some sugar.

Absolutely amazing food I go here on my lunch break when I'm really hungry and order a Combination meal. The food is cooked in front and so is the nan bread. The guys are really friendly defo a 5 star

Amazing, friendly service. Recommended us food to try, so tasty and good value. Paid about £14 for 2 large wraps and 2 complimentary soups on the side. Really nice decor inside, would defo visit again!!

I have been coming here for many years, always on point. This place serves delicious authentic Kurdish cuisine. It has a rustic, cafe style vibe. Try their lamb kozi served with rice, naan and a side of aubergines in tomato sauce. The lamb shawarma is the best in croydon and on par with the giants of Edgware Road. The team Shohaab leads is so wonderful and very hospitable. This a gem within Croydon and I will be back for more!

Recommended by guys at work. Their right. This place is very, very good. Packed so decided to take away. Ordered large lamb shish which came with plenty of fresh salad, two breads and pots of both garlic and chilli sauce. Excellent value at £11. Food was so well packed it was still warm when I got home.
