Roberta Trattoria - Cuauhtémoc

Cent'Anni has changed names and is now Roberta Trattoria still same good food and service and still in the same location.

Cent'Anni lacks the reputation of some upscale neighboring restaurants in the Condesa district of Mexico City, but we found it to be one of our best dining experiences during a five-day stay. It's a cozy trattoria with both indoor and outdoor seating, unpretentious in style and authentic in its cuisine. Our party of four sampled dishes ranging from the house minestrone (fresh and hearty) to a couple of tasty pastas and and a superb Venetian risotto. The wine list features some excellent Mexican labels, particularly the Las Nubes Kuiiy, a refreshing, fruity white blend. Service is prompt and attentive, and prices are more than reasonable.

We stopped by for a midweek dinner and left full and happy we will be back. There were three or four other tables, but with two waiters on the floor our service was excellent. We split the arugula salad, which was very nice. My companion had the gnocchi with cream tomato sauce very good, but my angelhair pasta with the garlic oil was outstanding. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor is nicely done, there's good music playing (and not too loud), and the place just generally has a nice vibe. We'll be back to explore a bit more of the menu which is a nice rendition of Italian fare.

The place supposedly opens at 1 PM, well we arrived at 1.05 and nothing was set, they left us sitting in our table without offering any beverages or anything, then when I asked the waiter for some drinks he said: "We open at 1.15 , you have to wait more... "basically seemed that they were trying to give us a lesson for arriving early. We were almost begging to get the menus and drinks served. Seriously if you want to be upset and not enjoy your meal-which was ok, but nothing special, then go to this place...

Muy desatentos, me cayó una varilla de hierro en la cabeza por torpeza del empleado que manipulaba una cortina; en lugar de brindarme atención, primeramente humana y segundo médica, lo que me ofrecieron fue un postrecito... Descarados. Ni siquiera me reembolsaron el total de lo que tuve que pagar en médicos, sólo 1/3. Malísimo
