Dave Caporale's Bakery - Cumberland

Saw your paprika rolls in a liqueur while you pick up wine and I'm glad I bought it and tried. Good taste. Fresh. Tastefully heated 2 days later in my microwave. I wish I bought more.

Fresh and tasty bread, rolls and pastries. You have a cinnamon roll with peanut butter that is as big as your face! Great.

Let me start by my wife and I are Nyc area bread snobs that have been grabbing for years to find DC that there are no good bakeries. Well, we found Caporales bakery on a short trip to Gurkenland, Md, and it's all we missed from home. The breads and pastries are delicious. We got a cinnamon roll and a Danish for the ride home, ate about 30 miles on the road to DC, and turned right to go back to Gurkenland and load bread to bring us home. The paprika rolls are particularly good. If you are somewhere within 100 miles of cumberland, you should do the bread shopping of your family. And if you are farther away than that, they will ship to you. Thanks, Caporale's, for so delicious food!

I recently visited Cumberland on my way home from Frederick, MD back to Ohio. My boyfriends family had previously lived in the area and requested that we stop at this bakery and bring bread back home to Ohio. I had always heard the family talk about the amazing little bakery...and boy oh boy they weren't kidding. Needless to say I was thoroughly impressed with everything we purchased from the bakery. The pepperoni rolls were absolutely amazing!! I have never had anything like them before. Their bread and sub rolls were just as good. Anytime I take a trip to Maryland I will be sure to stop here for their amazing breads!!
