We pointed out the open position and she said the station was closed. Unfortunately, the place was not that inviting, waiting for a stand or sitting on a high chair. We didn't stay. A star is generous.
Very disappointed! Ging here today, what a beautiful sunny warm day. We wanted outdoor seating, why not to Castleberry Ale House. We have gone there many times in recent years (we are OSU fans and they support them). Have always eaten outside, today we went in to sit... Barkeeper couldn't find a host, so (she was wonderful)! Wiped down a table for us and said she would find our server, when she came out (which we have out front decorating for St Patrick's Day) told us it's sorry, no outside seats (if of course we're already sitting at our cleaned table)! So we went and went to a Mexican restaurant in the Plaza, which had outside seats and had plenty of sun to sit and we are happy to take our money!
Always a great experience. I don't often visit, but I love it being family-friendly. The food is delicious.
Potato skins were fantastic and good drinks selection. The Cajun chicken sandwich was not seasoned at all. I've never been anywhere, that offers a smoked chicken sandwich that has absolutely no seasonal or hot sauce on it. I couldn't even eat half the sandwich because it was Bland
Came here with the bff to work through her wedding planning over lunch and drinks. Neither of us had been here before, but after living in Florida and loving the Orlando Ale House, we figured it couldn't be much different. It was VERY different. Not in a good way or bad way, just different. If I had one complaint was that the special drink menu just really said what drinks were available but not what is actually in them. There were also no prices. When we asked the server, she didn't know. So we waiting for the bartender to come over and tell us about the drinks and then we had to remember what was in the drinks after she left while we made our decisions. So putting a description under the drink name on the menu would be very helpful.I got a bourbon burger and my friend got the sliders. Both of us really enjoyed the food. It was pretty good. The drinks were just meh. You can really tell when low quality ingredients are used and the bartender is trying to make up for it by putting in way too much alcohol. More alcohol doesn't mean a better drink and can drastically change the taste of the drink. So, the food is why this is getting 3 stars. The drinks and service is why it lost stars.
