Main Street Pollo - Damascus

There aren't a whole lot of restaurants in this area so I'm thrilled to have found such great one! I did drive right by the first time I headed there, not realizing it was attached to a gas station. And while they do have some seating, it's definitely somewhere you want to order to-go. I ordered a burrito, because I'm obsessed with burritos, and it was absolute perfection. It just tasted so fresh and real. They cook everything as it's ordered and you can see the ingredients, like fresh green peppers, behind the counter ready to be sliced. I love Chipotle, but lately I'm in the mood for something without the over-the-top sodium and seasoning that you can taste for days. For just a dollar I was able to add fresh avocado, which I really prefer to guacamole, and they were the just the right level of ripeness and they didn't skimp on it either. I wanted some sort of side, so I tried out the Ubaldo's potatoes. They're really good, perfectly seasoned (I think garlic, salt, pepper, etc. and cooked. Way better than fries. I switched off between the green sauce and ketchup. No matter what you get, make sure you get some of the green sauce with it. So good!

Damascus's best kept secret. Most amazing home made Latino food around. Their chicken is amazing.....Steak burrito....quesadilla.... you name it. I personally like their food better than chipotle....and you know that means it's good. The owners are so friendly and welcoming also. Highly recommend

I love this place. The actual space that Main Street Pollo occupies used to be a Five Guys Burgers and Fries and I was really upset to see them go. Ever since MSP moved in, I'm glad 5 Guys left. It's in a gas station which may be a turn off for some, but because of the authentic feel of the place and good reviews, I wasn't deterred from trying it out. First go, I got myself a chicken burrito with everything on it and oh my goodness...I found a burrito better than chipotle! Each visit after that I've tried something new and I'm never upset. This little gem in Damascus is my new go-to chicken/Mexican joint. Fresh ingredients, tender chicken, and extra green sauce makes for my new favorite burrito. I go here about once or twice a month and I'm going to start coming more often because it is so darn good. The owners are amazing and the food is some of the best you will find in Damascus and surrounding areas. I was in search of a dinner spot and came across this restaurant nearby. When I saw the Mexican flag, I decided to check it out. Upon arrival, the owners were already in the process of closing up for the night. The gentleman informed me that they were closing early but offered to prepare some chicken for me. I ordered a quarter dark chicken with beans, rice, and plantains. While it was a simple meal, the flavor was outstanding. I would definitely rank this place among my favorites in the area.
