Two of them had the King crab, avocado romaine salad with a creamy dressing. Lots of crab, small head of romaine well worth the $22 price. The only entree tonight was the day boat scallops which were perfectly seared. Lobster sauce was reminiscent of Mac cheese ? . Lots of sauce atop linguine noodles. Personally I enjoyed this dish. House cab was decent $14 . House rolls were GOOD! Crusty round sourdough with tender soft inside. 4 star meal. Nice view. Would gladly return.
My bf and I had been wanting to try this restaurant out and finally got the chance to yesterday. We started off by ordering drinks as usual. We asked our waitress what she recommended off the menu and got exactly what she had said. We ordered the crispy calamari, coconut shrimp and fish tacos. I was very disappointed with their food and didn't even want to eat it but I was starving. The calamari was super rubbery and tasteless. I would give it 0 stars. My bf likes the coconut shrimp and I thought it was just okay. The fish tacos were way tooo salty and the fish didn't taste fresh. Such a bummer that their seafood isn't fresh since this restaurant does have a beautiful view. I don't recommend coming here for the food and I don't think we will be coming back. I gave this restaurant two stars strictly for the view and the service otherwise I would of given it none if it were possible.
If anything come here for the view. They are on the curve of the harbor so they've got an amazing view over all the boats with exceptionally clear sight lines. I was here for a wedding in November. The blocked off the whole outside area, set up chairs and wedding aisle, then took that down and quickly setup tables and heaters where the audience seats used to be. The whole transition was fast and they are extremely efficient in setup and cleanup. I read some conflicting reviews for their dinner food so wasn't sure what to expect, but what I ordered off the event menu (we were given three choices... filet mignon, chicken, fish) was very satisfying. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The filet mignon was a large chunk of meat, a tender medium rare, just how I like it. Portion size was generous and everyone's food arrived in a timely manner. If you are looking for a ritzy, swanky place indoors to have your wedding, this isn't the spot, but if you want a classy set up sacrificing a tad for a fresh ocean breeze and a view that rivals any in Dana Point, Cannons would be a great choice. Our party had over 100 and I think they max out at about 125 for weddings. My friend's wedding was so much fun and everyone had a great time. Parking I did not know if parking in their lot cost money so I opted instead to park for free on the street right above me. Please note that half of that street has restrictions on parking while the other half does not. Just check the street signs. I hear they may be reinventing this spot to a bed and breakfast in the next year or two but I guess only time will tell. Until then, head out there with your boo for a drink or even some food while sucking up the stunning view.
Place was nice enough. Great view and the staff was friendly and reasonably attentive. Only fault was having to ask 3 times, and waiting 15 minutes, for them to replace a dirty plate and spoon. Bread was good. Clam chowder a bit thin. Lobster bisque very good. Jerk salmon very tasty and well presented. Would go back again.
Having dinner with the family. Delicious food and great friendly service. Rumor has it, they are closed. They ARE NOT so come on by. We are taking a mud pie to go.
