It really is a crying shame. I am sure whoever initially decided to build this establishment had a vision of not only making money but of happy well fed guests enjoying delightful surroundings and an abundance of fresh seafood. SADLY, the reality is a far cry from this. MY swordfish was frankly inedible.but rather than spoil the mood of the family reunion post covid, I decided to eat as much as I could stomach without complaining...I managed 3/4 and tried to hide the rest under my knife and fork. The decor is basically non existent, the last time they cleaned the floor was apparently a distant memory. I had to request a knife and fork , salt and pepper.....and what is about plastic straws????? Isn't it time to boycott any form of plastic......Dana Point authorities should put a ban on it........heaven only knows how many plastic straws blow off the table into the ocean just feet away. I am British..and according to the world our food is awful......well guess what.....USA is catching up fast and I think when it comes to poor service and awful food...you win!! Our waiter was clueless and should not have been serving guests. I have been entertaining family and friends for a week and have yet to enjoy a meal or even get good service. I dislike fast food, but honestly , you would be better off getting a fish taco from a fast food chain for $5.00 rather than eating here and suffering the insult of paying over $150 for four very very mediocre meals. Sad but true. I do know what I am talking about....I ran 4 and 5 star hotels for my entire career, trained as chef and did service apprenticeships in 5 start hotels.
Everything. They have a baked macadamion white chocolate cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. Better then BJ bazookies
This restaurant is located in the Dana Point Harbor and has very nice views of the water. They have two levels of outdoor dining as well as indoor dining. We sat outside on the first floor an enjoyed a warm clear day in Dana Point. We were on bikes and were able to park them easily outside of the restaurant. There are heat lamps outside in case it is chilly. There was no wait for a seat and they seated us at a table with a nice view. We ordered: Side salads which were very nice 9.00 each) Baja fish tacos 16) very delicious Shishito peppers 16) – some of the tastiest I have tasted! Coconut shrimp 17) again, perfectly cooked Bottle of their house white wine which was fine for a bike ride! The service was terrific and our server kept on top of our requests and water glasses were always filled. I look forward to returning and trying some of their other dishes and enjoying the view!
