Jalapeno's Bbq Grill - Dangriga

New owners took over this restaurant in January 2022, and it serves some of the best food in Hopkins. Be sure to visit on Saturday for their BBQ—it's the best in Belize!

This cozy little bar-restaurant is run by warm and friendly people. The food is absolutely delicious. I arrived late one evening and found the kitchen closed, so I opted to have a drink and chat instead. The managers came over, and when they learned I hadn’t eaten, Becka took it upon herself to go to the kitchen and warm up some tasty homemade meatballs for me. You really can’t beat the personal touch that this place offers!

I believe the new management since January 2022 has made a positive impact, as there have only been good reviews since then. Her double-stacked taco, featuring the most delicious beans and pork, is absolutely fantastic. However, I wouldn't recommend the brisket for the nachos, as it was a bit difficult to eat in diced form. Overall, the nachos were still delicious!

I really loved this restaurant, the atmosphere is so warm and friendly. Becca and Brian feel like family. The fish tacos are so delicious, very recommend you to check them. It's a great place for families.

I ate here a couple of times while I visited hopkins. Had their burger and their brisket and both were amazing. Brian and Becky are great hosts the staff was wonderful and the overall atmosphere of Jalapenos is warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place if you happen to be visiting Hopkins
