There were no prices on the menu. Red flag #2. I knew it was going to be high, just didn't expect it to be $37 high. I ordered 2 rolls to go: 1 spicy tuna and 1 rainbow roll. I asked the cashier if I could pay for them now and she said pay when I come back. Red flag #3 I came back and she handed me a print out from a old ink calculator with ink so light I had to ask her to read it. First she said $57. I said WHAT? She then said $37. I thought that sounds high but maybe the rolls are exceptional. I get home, as you can see from the pictures, the rolls are nothing special. -The spicy tuna... the tuna was gray with a hint of pink. I've never seen this before, usually it's bright red. I thought maybe it's a special white tuna? LOL nope more like a spoiled tuna, ate 2 pieces and trashed the rest. -The rainbow roll... it was fine. For $37 you'd expect it to have real crab not imitation crab. I looked on line and at yelp to confirm the prices and they're not listed anywhere. Highly recommend AVOIDING this place.
A nice family owned sushi restaurant tucked under the clock tower that been there for years! Exceptional customer service, clean inside, and delicious food! Food: 1 Dragon roll {4.5/5 stars} delicious California roll topped with sweet unagi (eel) and finished with sesame seeds. 2 Rainbow roll {5/5 stars} California roll topped with a selection of delicious fish from, salmon, tuna, and octopus. 3 California roll {4/5 stars} fresh avocado and imitation crab, crab inside little dry, overall delicious. 4 Beef teriyaki {4/5, stars} bbq beef with a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce. Little bit chewy though compared to other teriyaki beef. Location: Located under the clock tower right across from Clock tower grill. Due to construction, you need to park in the lot behind the clock tower and walk 2 minutes to restaurant. Nice sushi place to visit, great service and a welcoming atmosphere!
The pork in the Tonkatsu was really old and the breading was crumbling at the slightest touch. The tempura sauce was tangy. The sushi wasn't fresh, the sweet prawn had been marinated for too long.
This sushi/Japanese restaurant is owned and operated by a lovely husband and wife team. We have been loyal customers for over 15 years and have always been impressed by the fresh sushi, high-quality food, and delicious dishes they serve. The service is always warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. Located near the clock tower, there is currently construction on the walkway, so we recommend parking in the back lot and taking a short 2-minute walk to the restaurant. With a cozy atmosphere and just a few seats at the sushi bar and tables, we always feel welcome. Yoshi, the husband, greets us with a smile every time we visit. The fish is consistently fresh, the toro is outstanding, the uni is delightful, and the hamachi kama is cooked to perfection. Their rolls are all fantastic, and the tempura is crispy without being greasy. Midori, the wife, is always attentive and friendly as our server. We truly enjoy our dining experience here and highly recommend it.
The service is definitely the best thing about sushi bar Hana! When I moved to Danville they sent me a welcome coupon for a free sake, so my boyfriend and I decided to come in! The sushi is fresh and servers were happy to make recommendations. This may not be the best rolls I've had in my life, but definitely good for the area and not bad for the prices either! This is a small shop near the clock tower downtown! Parking is mostly on the street.
