Fantastic hidden restaurant surrounded by lush tropical landscaping this restaurant never disappoints! The Sunday brunch is all you can eat and is a great value. The drinks are strong, cool and delicious. Make sure you stop in at the nearby Turtle Barwhich is only a few feet from the entrance to this restaurant. It's one of the most interesting and unique small bars you willever pop into in the Baton Rouge New Orleans areas. If you do find yourself eating at Cafe Burnside or grabbing a deliciouscocktail at the Turtle Bar, I assure you that you'll be smitten and continue coming here no matter where you're from our howlong your drive is. Guaranteed!
We visited this restaurant after our tour and encountered quite a few issues with our order. The setup feels like a traditional table service, but food is only delivered to the bar counter, so you have to get up for every drink refill. One of my friends is vegetarian and ordered a panini with the meat served on the side. However, they provided all the ingredients to make the panini, including plain bread, which obviously isn’t a panini. We returned the food and requested a correction, but they simply pressed the bread a little and handed it back with an attitude. We definitely won’t be coming back.
This is one of the best lunch buffets I’ve ever experienced. The crawfish alfredo and the bread pudding were both outstanding. I highly recommend checking it out!
The food was exceptionally delicious, and the view of the gardens was lovely. We dined here after exploring the museum and gardens.
