Hungry Ape - Davao

From facade, ambience, staff accommodation, facilities to menu everything is rated A I can't just give since I was not informed that my order was spicy even I asked other listed menu if it is. But still it is okay. The price is bit expensive but can compensate with what I mentioned above. They have tidy CR too. Recommended place for solo to group's dining.

I love their food. It is a bit pricey and the proportions is just enough for person but the price is worth it. Try their baby back ribs. It would be better to go here in groups because they have group meals and it will be cheaper The design of the restau is also cool. Kinda industrial looking. Staff is attentive and friendly.

I love eating pork ribs and I've eaten a lot of ribs in my life, that I almost came to a conclusion that nothing could top my mother's way of cooking ribs. However, upon tasting Hungry Ape's pork ribs, damn, with no hesitation I would say their back ribs is the best ribs I've eaten so far. Ps. Pardon me for I couldn't take a picture of it since we've quickly binged on it

Food was great! The ribs and pasta we ordered was superb. Tender ribs and savory seafood pasta. Wished there was just a different set of songs on the playlist as they were not apt on the resto's ambience. But overall dining here is a must-try.

I asked which is their bestseller from the menu. Ribs, they said. But they run out. Ugh. I had their next bestseller, pork belly. It’s just way too bland. I also had the vegetable bourguignon which had cubed tofu and chopped cauliflower. It’s way too sweet and seemed to be flavored with oyster sauce. The kilawin malasugue (marlin) came way overcooked in vinegar. I was hoping the fried finger chili with cheese could save the dinner. But it was way too oily because it’s wrapped way too big, almost turon-sized. Perhaps, I should have just went next door to Bramble or Fowlplay. It’d be a little bit more expensive but at least not way off the mark.
