The Boat House - Davenport

The ambiance is fantastic. It seems like the negative review must have come from someone who didn’t realize that eight people can’t fit at a table meant for six. The food was outstanding, and the service was very good. We will definitely return!

We visited the restaurant with four children and four adults and opted to sit on the patio. Unfortunately, we were informed that we couldn't all sit together and had to be split across separate tables. The manager came out and belittled us in front of other patrons. I tried to speak with him privately and suggested there was a better way to handle the situation, but he dismissed me with a condescending "whatever, sir" multiple times. I would advise against taking your kids here; they attempt to present themselves as a high-end establishment, yet we were seated on plastic chairs with empty beer cans on the ground. The manager's disrespectful behavior, speaking loudly in front of everyone instead of addressing the matter discreetly, was very off-putting. We definitely won't be returning.
