Jackie's On Vincent - DAYLESFORD

Well worth a look. We like a more relaxed venue and love when this means we do not need to compromise on the food. This place does not disappoint.

We had dinner at Jackies twice this week, the second time opting for the "feed me" menu. As I am vegetarian, Jackie went out of his way to create different meals so that I did not repeat what I had eaten earlier in the week. Vego San Choi Bao, Zucchini and Pumpkin Falafels, Tofu Steaks with Harissa, all fabulous. The dumplings are very tasty, and the noodle dishes fresh and full of flavour. The desserts amazing! Jackie and Lisa are perfect hosts.

My wife and I have frequented Jackies on Vincent on most of our trips to this lovely part of Victoria. Jackie and Lisa are always happy to see you and will make you feel more like you are eating in their home more than a restaurant.The atmosphere is always pleasent and warm. the food is always of a high standard and we have never left hungry. Always happy to recommend them to our friends when they are in Daylesford. Jealous of the locals who have access to this restaurant all week long. Maybe some more of the coconut prawns on our next visit

Just brilliant food and service. We got the 'feed me' option and the food kept coming! Really delicious and accommodating of our children as well. Would highly recommend.

I got takeaway from Jackies based on the reviews I had read and I am sorry to say I was not impressed. Service was pleasant and fast, it was only 5.45 so I may have been their first customer. Ordered the Chicken Dumplings, fried, Mushroom Dumplings, steamed and Hokien noodles. The Chicken Dumplings were dry and tasteless, Mushroom all stuck together, fell apart when separated and were goopy, the filling was gritty and tasteless. Noodles were oily, nice fresh vegetables, good chicken but you had to hunt for it, sauce was lacking in flavour. Expensive too, would not have minded the cost if the food was good. Big let down
