Kazuki's at the Raglan - DAYLESFORD

Kazuki's is a wonderful dining experience and a 'must do' for foodies visiting Daylesford. We recently enjoyed their 5 course Tasting menu and were delighted with the presentation and taste as each course came out. In particular the prawn dumplings, John Dory and duck breast were magnificent. A very extensive wine list and finishing off with a tea prepared by Kazuki's in house tea expert topped off a wonderful long lunch.

First trip to Daylesford for my husband and I. We could not book into the Lakehouse due to it being fully booked out on Saturday nights until end of October, but had read great reviews about Kazuki's so decided on there and we are so glad we did. There was a choice between 5 course for $110pp or 7 course for $140pp.We were able to view both menus before deciding and chose the 5 course. WOW.It was actually about 8 courses with all the extras that they bring out. The Moreton bay bug dumpling that everyone raves on about is out of this world. To get so many different flavours into one mouthful of food is simply amazing.The John Dory dish was my favourite. Again just so exquisite in taste. My husband couldn't decide on his fave being the wonton or the dessert. The black butter made with squid ink and nori is another added pleasure. We thoroughly enjoyed every course. Highly recommend for a visit when in Daylesford.

Many had told me that dining at Kazuki's would be a joy, so there was an intriguing reputation at stake here. We were so pleased to join the ranks and agree that this charming restaurant was indeed worthy of all the buzz. Of course the food was glorious. Were the surrounds pleasant? Without a doubt. But how was the service?We were made to feel comfortable from the first step inside the door. The team must hear all the cliques of compliments, questions and touristy banter in the world, yet there was not a moment of complacency at all. In fact, we were treated with kindness, care and respect and we left feeling as though we had just been spoiled. This place is special, and so are all the people in it.

The service was sensational, the food was Devine. So much love and care had been put into these meals you could taste it! Fantastic drink selection with many specialty wines and sake. We have dined in hatted restaurants and many fine dining establishments over the years while traveling and I have to say this one is now well and truely in the lead! The waiter was so genuine, helpful and professional the best service I have experienced in my life. My fiancé was also very impressed we are definitely coming back. We had 6 different meals from the al carte menu and each meal was that good we felt like ordering each one again immediately ( we didn't because we would have exploded lol) compliments to the talented chef and brilliant staff thank you

Amazing experience5-7 courses of palate stimulationEach course was intriguing and like nothing we'd eaten before- different from any Japanese restaurant we'd been to.Beautiful presentation.Each serving small enough to leave enough room for the next, and the flavours were superb.Left feeling perfectly satiated but not stuffed, and not needing to top up at home.
