Contribuisci feedbackOrdered a Masala Dosa and few other things. Hoping the dosa takes time, waited for 20 minutes. While waiting, saw other people being served the same dish Dosa, who came after us! Went and asked the manager at the time, how long would it take, and she replied they are preparing it now. Giving the benefit of doubt decided to wait some more time. But it was served to someone else, again. Went back after a total wait time of 40 minutes to ask again and understood from the manager and chef’s conversation, that my order was never sent to the kitchen, hence chef was completely unaware of it. They started arguing with each other about the order. Very disappointing with the service and the staff’s behaviour! As it took too long, asked to refund my money, and got it back. Note It was not crowded at all at the time.
Review of Spice Traders Restaurant: A Disappointing Experience While writing this review I noticed that this restaurant has only got bad reviews from majority of customers!! My recent visit to Spice Traders was incredibly disappointing. The experience was marred by poor customer service, a lack of communication, and an unprofessional and nasty attitude from the counter staff.After celebrating India’s T20 world cup win we thought of giving ourselves a treat at an Indian restaurant Spice traders in Queensgate, Wellington. Upon arrival, we were met with indifference by the hostess, who seemed to be very cross and angry rather than in welcoming guests. My husband went and ordered some other food item but the reception staff's attitude was shockingly bad. She said the food item is not available and we have to choose another item which she suggested or else don’t order at all. Thinking that the chef might be very busy( even when the restaurant was somewhat empty).I went again and asked for the item after waiting for time. The lady on the counter seemed irritated by simple requests and lacked basic courtesy. She now said that the kitchen was closed and the only choice is the one which she suggested.I asked her what happens if the incoming customer will order the same item, than what will be served to them as it was only 4.20 Pm and the mall closes around 6pm. I guess they will all be served stale and leftover food which will be reheated and served . Communication was another major issue and it felt as if they were doing us a favour by serving us. The receptionist cum manager seemed clueless about the menu items as she said the item we order is same as her suggested item!!!After giving us conflicting information she also added that if we keep serving fresh ones what will we do with the items which has already been cooked and have been stored. That means that they are willing to serve stale food so openly and want to force the customers to buy those items inorder to clear leftovers. I advised the lady that she should be a bit humble and should not carry such a bad attitude when she works in customer service industry.My husband suggested that she should not force her choice of leftover items to others as it might be a risk to someones health. Not only were we met with a dismissive shrug instead of addressing the problem professionally, she were rude and unapologetic, making the entire situation even more unpleasant. Overall, the dismal service at Spice Traders, characterized by the staff’s bad attitude and poor customer service, overshadowed any enjoyment we might have derived from the food. This restaurant clearly needs to retrain its staff and improve its service if it hopes to retain any customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
The staff and the “chef” didn’t know what options were vegan, pretty sure they didn’t know what that meant.That happened on monday june 10th 11 am
I had a worst experience at SPICE TRADERS in Queensgate Lower Hutt. The front staff was unwelcoming and displayed an attitude, making us feel as though we were inconveniencing them for food. Despite repeated inquiries and a 45-minute wait, our Chicken Biryani was never served. Overall, the customer service was appalling. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Service: Dine in
Dont go here and dont even deserve a 1star. I don’t recommend. Customer Service is very poor. I ask for a chicken curry combo but the indian lady bill me sperately and before I pay I ask if its combo, she no and I said I want the combo, she said no its not allowed anymore. I have been forced to pay on something I dont agree on. I ask the second time and the other indian guy gave ke the look and showed some weird face. Very very poor customer service.
