El Patron Mexican Food Grill - De Soto

$28 for steak fajitas and a large guac. The portions were what you would expect for a kids menu item and tasted equally as bad. How do you mess up fajitas and guacamole? This place would not make it in a bigger town.....there are just too few of options in little De Soto so people deal with getting bent over for terrible food and high prices.

I can't understand why this place isn't rated a perfect 5 out of 5! This is definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The food is always freshly prepared, the chips are fantastic, and even the cheese and guacamole are outstanding!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! We stopped by for an early, light dinner and were immediately struck by the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly, efficient service. We enjoyed the house margaritas, which were reasonably priced and truly delicious—not overly sweet at all! The chips were light and warm, paired with a tasty homemade salsa. We chose items from the à la carte menu. The beef soft tacos were exactly what we expected, while I opted for three chile rellenos, which were generously filled with cheese and sauce—very flavorful and more food than I anticipated. However, the real standout was the pork chimichanga! It was a good-sized chili filled with moist, flavorful pork and topped with a light cheesy sauce. It was substantial enough for a meal and cost only $6.50 á la carte. We discovered El Patron during a road trip and absolutely loved it. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area!
