Truman Tavern - Decatur

The dining experience was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The location is also wonderful. The only downside was the music, which was a bit too loud. Overall, it was a really great experience, and we will definitely be returning.

The only downside was that the music was a bit too loud for our liking, but we could manage to hear each other when we spoke slightly louder. However, when the NBA Finals started, the volume was cranked up, and that became quite distracting. We could hardly hear each other over the noise, and when I asked the server if she could lower it, she mentioned that the manager wanted it that way. It seemed like the people at the bar were enjoying the game, but it made it difficult for diners to have a conversation. Due to the noise, we opted to leave and head to another bar for a third round. Still, this was my only unpleasant experience during our visit. Overall, everything else was excellent, and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend The Truman!

I returned after enjoying the graduation party, and the food is still great. The service was a bit slow, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing when you’re out with friends.

Service was slow (but polite). it was a weekend party of 7th, they turned off the music when we asked. the food was good, but they screwed up an order. I'll get a burger.

Our Mother's Day brunch was a HUGE disappointment! Despite a prior reservation, we left after waiting for our food after 1hr and 20 min. When we asked if it would be coming soon, we were told no... so who knows when,if ever, it would have come. With our two children hoping to celebrate the holiday, we left almost in tears! I wish they would have told us 30 minutes into our wait that we should celebrate elsewhere.
