And both got sick. I just phoned with chef Joanna. She said they cook her lamb balls very well. But there was no solution for problem or they both got sick. Very regrettable, as they pay a lot of money to go to dinner. And just to get home and get sick. This is frustrating on many levels. I have to take care of a baby and don't need a man to take care of who gets sick in a restaurant that didn't take the precautions to check what they cook.
A limited lunch menu. Had the BLT what was perfect. Came with a beautiful little side of Caesars Salat. Large circulating beer menu. Lunch was slow and the service was great. The bartender was attentive. One expects a stellar service when it is slow, but I have found that it is often the exact opposite in other places. Servers are drilled and play grave ass and doodle on their phones. But not here. I'd definitely come back. They expand next door and expect exciting changes!
My friends love the place, it's their favorite restaurant. I thought the food was better. Buffalo Cauliflower New England fish and chips I die to know what makes it a New England version, waitress could not answer. Lol. Salad beet on Arugula, Feta and Pistachios. If the beet had preferred, which were either roasted or marinated, and more of them.(Non Taste) Cheese Penne looked really good, baked nice crusty Vege Burger looked good from Fleischburger looked really good We were there in a musical night. The band was good, but as expected it was a little hard to talkParking: street parking is free at night in a lot on the street
Oscars in Dedham was such an unexpected find! Kiddo wanted a turkey club running out. Has seen Oscars, but never so he was Googled and saw all the other great reviews: Spot on! Loved the menu, food, that came out ingenious, so we ended up ordering takeout, while sandwich was discarded and adults had ingenious thin cocktail treatment. Everything was so good that we will return! Preferred for our group dine in and avoid the fish and chips/stick on other menu items. Please suggest squid instead of cod please:
I will not be returning to Oscars. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer- those were fine. For my entree, I ordered the fried pork which was basically inedible. It was like eating rubber and had the flavor of eating bread crumbs. Also, it had no sauce, so it was as dry as eating a mouthful of breadcrumbs. My wife ordered the fettuccini with shrimp which tasted exactly like a Knorr pasta side (those packets that you buy at the grocery store for two dollars). For two dollars- i'd be happy, for $28, I was pretty upset. On top of all of that, our waitress took forever to bring us the check. I had to waive her down while she was eating at the expo line. I wanted to complain while I was there, but my family convinced me not to. I feel bad writing such a negative review but also feel like people should know that they could have a similar experience.
