I’ve been trying to support more local business and decided to try this place out. Maybe I would have had more luck during dinner??Came in around 1230 for lunch. No one was visible in the restaurant. I didn’t mind not getting an immediate greeting as I understand small business may only have 1 person working during certain off hours. An older gentlemen came from the back to greet me and was very nice. I ordered 2 lunch plates, curry chicken and brown stew chicken. Wanted to try the bussup shut but none was ready so I ordered coco bread.Once home I was very disappointed. The food had NO taste. I’m used to Caribean chicken falling off the bone. Here the meat just didn’t want to let go of the bone. The curry chicken was breast which was very DRY. And the brown stew was more Tan stew. Even the plantain were tasteless. The prepackaged coco bread he transferred to a white paper bag tasted stale.I hate to leave bad reviews but I would not recommend this place. Only giving 2 stars because the gentlemen was so nice. He said this is a sister restaurant to Liz international down the street. Not sure if he needs to re-learn the recipes or if Liz can’t cook either.
Had Caribbean Savory for lunch today at Emory. Everything was sooo delicious ? The salmon was incredible. Thanks for catering lunch for us. Kendelle
Got here at 12pm, the sign says they open at 10 on sundays. Not open not ready, I was told to comeBack in 30 minutes. Ok cool … I get my nails done so I came back at 2pm after my appointment. Only 1Meat selection available, bbq chicken. I got it anyway because I’m starving and wanted to support. BBQ chicken was not good, nothing Caribbean about it.On top of that, a lash in my rice. Girl bye. Waste of . Maybe having a bad day… idk …
Caribbean Savory was delicious and seasoned to perfection. I will definitely order from her in the future!!!!
