The owner, Wayne, has had some health issues and often is not well enough to keep the kitchen open late - so it is really, really important that you book in advance. We were lucky, in that the owner of the accommodation where we were staying is a good friend of Wayne, so a table was booked for us, or we would not have been able to eat there. The building has a very unusual history, which you can read about on the first page of their menu. The Red Emperor fish (the catch of the day) we ate was totally delicious - perfectly cooked. If all the tables are full, you may have to wait a while for the food - but you know everything is fresh - this is NOT fast food. Go there when you have time to enjoy the experience, and don't have to rush in and rush out. This restaurant is very highly recommended, but remember to book, or you'll be disappointed. They have no liquor licence, so do take your own bottle of wine.
A lovely old restaurant with great seafood platter. The building is special and we must go for another visit soon.
Great friendly service. Oysters kilpatrick were amazing! Delicious satay prawns and seafood. Was hard to share the Homemade chocolate cheesecake! Best in town.
We went there after reading TripAdvisor. The building is amazing. The work that has gone into building this is a fabulous labour of love. The food was great and waitress kept everything rolling along. Coffin Bay oysters the only import. Everything else fresh from WA
