The Point - Denison

We took the boat over on Saturday to enjoy dinner with our family. What a disappointment that was. We chose to sit outside for the views even at 100° that evening, but didn't expect to not have refills of our drinks (water). I had to ask 3 different times to have water refilled between the 5 of us. The wait staff did not want to wait tables outside because of the heat. Our service was AWFUL. We order 2 appetizers the fried pickles were good, the cheese curds were under cooked and soft and mushy. Our dinner plates were not the best but not the worse. It's sad to see they have raised the prices AGAIN on every item. Chicken strip dinner $27.98 for frozen chicken strip and potatoe wedges ??Definitely not a place I will choose to dine at again with our family of 5, it is more of a share dinner plates kind of place.Go for the views not the food or service and you won't be disappointed like we were.

Great quick service. Awesome views. Unique menu items, but just a tad off. Cheese curds were great. I went for a unique chicken with crabeat. I strove too far. The baked potato was grest though. My wife loved the half of the chicken fried steak she ate. The other half was too tough to eat. Despite these complaints, it was still a nice visit for our first night in Denison.

It was ridiculously expensive for what was offered.The service was mediocre, not very attentive, but then again, when they automatically add 20% gratuity on an already high bill, guess they don't have to be very attentive.And yes, we always leave a good tip

Terrible service. I've been sitting for 20 minutes and have not been greeted or asked if I needed a drink. I'm on the patio for the views and it's hot. I'd hope more attentive service considering they aren't even busy! I will not be back again. I hadn't been here since I was 11 years old, I am now 41. So sad to see that this place didn't progress in anything but the price, absurd!I recommend to not waste your gas and time to drive out here for food or drinks. There is better service elsewhere for the same price, if not cheaper. Food presentation is a joke here, they need to hire a real chef that understands the meaning of pride in their work. This saddens me that they do not have the proper wait staff for the experience. For the view is epic and romantic. As per my reviews, I don't normally have issues and don't really post, but this place is supposed to be special... was special. Life goes on...

I remember when this restaurant was the go-to spot. We wanted to sit by the lake and were welcomed by a hostess, but found our tables weren’t cleaned. My friend and I were excited for a girls' night out, but the food was incredibly disappointing. We both ordered the red snapper, which we ended up sending back—it was mushy, topped with imitation crab, what appeared to be week-old mushrooms, and a flavorless béarnaise sauce. The tomahawk pork chop was not a real tomahawk; my spouse had to stand up to cut through it with some effort. At $32 and $42, I expected something edible. Those prices suggest five-star quality, but the meal was more like negative five stars. On the bright side, our server was pleasant and genuinely tried to improve our experience, and the bar drinks were good, so it wasn't a complete waste.
