Abyssinia Market Cafe - Denver

We were on the hunt for authentic Ethiopian cuisine, and we definitely hit the mark at this restaurant. The selection of meats and vegetables was outstanding, and the flavors were thoroughly enjoyable. Our group of three indulged in the special meal and even took some leftovers, including injera, home with us.

My second visit was fantastic. I went back on a Friday night around 7:00 PM, and the place wasn’t crowded, so we were seated immediately. The service and food were excellent!

The food was excellent, probably some of the best Ethiopian cuisine I've had in Denver. Unfortunately, they only have one staff member handling everything—serving tables, seating guests, and cleaning up—which leads to slow service, especially if a large group arrives right before you do.

Once I found the correct door to enter through (it's actually the brown door in the middle of the building) I was a little surprised by the decor. The food and service definitely made up for any misgivings, and made for a fun dinner!
