Gordo's Mexican - Denver

Everything was yummy. Except the salsa. And the staff was really awsome

I'm a regular here. Great food, and even better service. Family owned, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. All of the waitresses are very polite, and have gotten my orders right every time.

Good service. Fast. Not the best, but good. It's in my neighborhood, so I'll probably visit again

Today, I visited the restaurant and ordered chicken wings and a cheeseburger. The chili had a strong flavor similar to Frank's hot sauce. Unfortunately, the burger was mediocre, and the service was lacking; it didn't feel welcoming at all. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I was disappointed with my experience at Gordo's. In comparison, I think Chubby's down the street offers better food.

The Mexican food here is outstanding! I ordered the chimichangas and they were incredibly tasty. I tried both the steak and chicken options, and each was delicious, especially when topped with the authentic green chili. This restaurant is definitely one of the best spots for Mexican cuisine in the northern Denver metro area.
