Piper Inn Bar Restaurant - Denver

Long time biker haunt on the edge of Glendale. I passed this place hundreds of times back in the day (to hang out at the long gone Caldonias) but never visited. And I finally did when I was told about the special wings they do here. We had the spicy Asian wings and although a bit different from traditional Buffalo I wasn't sold. Sauce is about the same degree of heat, but has a tomato flavor to it that makes the flavor.....funky. My partner inquired about the change in the sauce; as he's been a long time patron at the Piper. He was told that there was a paste they use in the Asian sauce that has disappeared and so they are using something different now. Hopefully they find a new source for their paste soon.

The wings are out of this world. The best I’ve had by some margin. Egg Foo Young was unlike anything I’ve had, wonderful textures and flavor. We ordered the Chinese, Golden GOAT, Buffalo Parm, and Golden Fuego wings. Golden GOAT and Buffalo Parm will unlikely ever be beaten as best wings. Chinese and Golden Fuego weren’t tossed as well as the other two, which meant some wings were much better than others. Service was fast for a busy holiday. Decor was fun and a comfortable space for everyone. Definitely recommending to anyone in the area looking for the best bar food in the city.

This has been one of our favorite neighborhood bars since the 1980's. Awesome wings and wontons, and great waitresses!

Diveable with one of the most unique fusion menus I've ever seen known for their wings! I heard a lot about Piper Inn, especially her wings, and was excited to finally try them! A walk feels like going to any other dive bar. Pool table, neon lights, small intimate feeling. The menu has a fusion of Chinese/Cantonese food and American bar food. You can have a burger or Egg Foo Young, Mozzarella sticks or egg rolls, there is literally the best of both worlds here. The wings are what brought me in, and it was worth it. Maybe the best fried wings I had in the subway section! Her typical Chinese style is a beautiful mix of Chinese spices and oyster sauce, but her buffalo with her blue cheese is king If you are looking for a good bar food, Chinese food or wings then stop here!

I love this place! Great drinks, great food (many to choose), very clean, beautiful outdoor area and the staff (paige) very friendly and helpful. If I weren't that far away, I would often go there!
