Staying overnight at Wirksworth. Hadn’t planned on eating but called in for a drink in evening whilst walking the dog. Quality of food looked excellent so decided to order. We had the steak stout pie. PROPER pie fully encased with a good filling (not a dish with a pastry cap! PROPER fresh cooked fat chips and fresh cooked veg. Excellent and very filling. Freshly cooked and hot. Choice of 5 hand pulled ales as well into the bargain. Mostly local ones as well.
