Good to go to if you are in the matlock area of Derbyshire and it has good Indian food menu

Every time we come back to the UK to visit family, the Shalimar is an absolute must on our agenda. The service is amazing, the team are so friendly (especially with our children), welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding (must try is the Lamb Handi), portions are generous and the ambiance is very comfortable. Absolutely love the place! Our favourite Indian restaurant.

A really calm and peaceful restaurant with pretty decor and gorgeous food. The best part was the mains, especially the lamb curry that we had and the chicken jalfrezi. Decent portion sizes and great service. The only disadvantage would be the lack of non alcoholic drink options (mock tails would be lovely) and also for the music to be a bit quieter. I would certainly come here again.

An absolutely beautiful establishment, very welcoming wonderful staff, very very friendly was wonderfully looked after, the food was excellent and stunning! Looking forward to coming back
