Dumpling Darling - Des Moines

We had the steamed pig dumplings and soup dumplings, and both were fantastic. There were no issues at all on opening day. We really enjoyed the tractor soda and cocktails; the jasmine cocktail was especially nice, although it was a bit on the small side for the price. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. My partner and I will definitely be returning!

The dumplings are wonderful here. They have a selection of 5 steamed and 5 fried dumplings. We had a steamed flight that I would recommend for more traditional flavors. You also have a tofu for the meatless crowd. The night we went was very busy, but the staff was quick and friendly. You also have a decent list of craft beers, wine and special cocktails.

Wonderful spot! My young daughter and I enjoyed a selection of dumplings and had a fantastic time sampling the different varieties with their corresponding sauces. Now we each have our favorites! We can't wait to come back for more!

The atmosphere at Dumpling Darlings is very interesting. From the moment you enter your eyes immediately pulled to the exposed edge and ceiling, in a word urban. We were immediately greeted by a young woman who I suspect is the hostess. The waiter was attentive and friendly and was willing to give a lot of recommendations that we actually used. There was a slight waiting for the food, but when it was on the table, everything was fresh and hot. We ordered the Avocado Rangoons and they were the star of our lunch. Very creamy and delicious. We noticed that not all descriptions in the menu reflect the wort of the dishes. My wife had to ask her Coconut Fried Rice to be restored, what they liked to do. After the small change, the dish was more to its taste and tasty. We will definitely try again other unique elements on their menu.

Let's start with the positives: I had the lamb dumplings, chicken steamed buns, seasonal fried rice, and a "craft" soda. (It's hard to believe we're calling Tractor soda craft, but I digress.) Everything tasted great, and I truly enjoyed every bite. I would recommend visiting this place multiple times to sample the various types of dumplings and steamed buns they offer. However, there is one significant drawback that might deter me from returning: the extremely loud noise levels. The ambiance is just as crucial as the food's flavor, and while I can hear my friends sitting next to me, I struggle to fully appreciate the meal in the midst of all the noise.
