Recommend! Beautifully done bar kitchen with comfortable seating. Visited in a weekend night with some friends and it was packed inside but service was quick and very friendly/attentive. Drinks were good and good choices in food items and small bites. Located in downtown, parking available throughout city and in lots near by. Business owner was present and helping/checking on guests/employees, very nice to see. Recommend a visit!
Service was great, very attentive and friendly. French onion soup was the highlight, steak was average, my partner and I each ordered a steak; one medium, one medium well done. We recieved 2 medium to medium rare cooked steaks, my partner's steak had to be sent back to go a bit longer to reach medium well, I settled with medium rare. We also did not receive our small place (appetizer), reminder the waiter when our main course came and we did end up receiving that halfway into our main course. Overall average food, overpriced for what it is but as expected at a posh establishment. Very well designed space and nice ambiance and friendly service. Nothing to write home about all-in-all.
I'm always excited about a new place! Found Olin on Yelp when I was looking for a pre show dinner option. I made reservations online... super easy! There were available tables and space at the bar, but since it was a Saturday night... better to be safe! We were seated an an intimate table for two. We started off with cocktails I got the tequila spritz. The bar special of the night. So yummy! We started of with the Waygu beef tartare with homemade salt and vinegar chips. OMG! Tastebud explosion. I could eat a bag of those chips! For dinner, my husband got the Waygu steak special and I got the striped bass. The Waygu was my favorite. Hands down! The striped bass was good. I prefer the fish to be a little more cooked, but overall the place was great. We didn't have room, but I saw someone else get the flourless cake. I had to try it! The flourless chocolate cake had a s'mores twist with a graham cracker and marshmallow. Worth it! Great food and vibe!
I can't even begin to express how much I loved dining at Olin! My boyfriend and I stopped by before going a Broadway show at the Fisher Theatre (not exactly walking distance away, but a quick drive between the two). We weren't pressed for time, but since we wanted to make it to the show, we didn't want to take too much time dining. The staff was incredibly understanding of our schedule, even though they didn't have to be, and they were so friendly and helpful. After hearing amazing reviews, I decided to go for the shortrib burger, and we also tried the escargot as an appetizer. It was my first time trying escargot, and let me tell you, I was blown away! The burger was equally mind-blowing.The decor in this place is absolutely stunning. It has this fancy vibe, yet it's also incredibly inviting. They have plenty of seating options to accommodate groups of all sizes.I just can't get enough of this place and I'm already counting down the days until I can come back.
