We’d been talking about all the wonderful authentic cafes available to her the lack of choice in Barnsley... then we found this! We popped in for tea and were greeted by the wonderfully friendly staff, who showed us to our table. It was teatime on a Wednesday, so no other guests present. The food was freshly made tasted incredible, fresh herbs aromatic spices reasonable potions. I want to shout about this place, Barnsley needs places like this. Definitely returning with friends family.
A great little restaurant with a personal touch, food was cooked by the owner and proved that Thai food when cooked correctly is some of the best food available. Started with a mixed starter, Thai sweet corn cake, Thai fish cake, Vegetable spring rolls, Chicken Satay and Chicken on toast (2 of each items) ideal for me and my friend. The main meals were Pad Thai Chicken and Pad Krapow Minced Pork, this is some of the best food i have tasted away from Thailand. Service was great and felt very personal with it being a small establishment, the servers were very polite and made sure that everything was ok. Non alcoholic drinks are available so we finished of with a nice Iced Green Tea (Thai Style), ah the memories just kept on coming back. Highly recommend Nida and her staff for great food and service
We stumbled on this little Thai cafe travelling back to Cumbria where we live and we were absolutely delighted by the food and lovely hospitality! Delicious authentic and amazing value for money, this street food cafe is not to be missed. Already wondering how and when we can return as we live so far away....thank you for a great experience. PS try the roasted coconut drink!
This is most likely the best Thai restaurant I have ever visited. The food was really fresh, and most importantly tasted amazing! Also the staff was really lovely, will definitely return soon. Recommend to anyone who wishes to try generic Thai cuisine.
Visited the outlet store in the market kitchen been twice before and it been wonderful. This visit was shocking. Ordered food and a portion of child for my daughter, being 2 years old thats all she really wanted. Buzzer went off I went to go collect, chips were missing. I don't like how they just leave the food there, no ticket to match it to your order if you're unsure whats yours. She said to take the buzzer back with us. Didn't go off for ages so I went back. She'd forgotten after ignoring me stood there waiting to speak to someone. She chucked some chips in the fryer and I stood there not wanting to go back to the table and be forgotten about again. But she told me to take the buzzer again. When it went off again I went to collect the chips and was told that I should try another kiosk for ketchup. Chips back at the table.... Weren't cooked. Went back again. And got a refund. Server wasn't even that bothered I'd had to make 3 trips for their mistake with hardly a sorry for the inconvenience. Had a hair and a piece of plastic in food Went to pou poutine Nd asked for plain chips. No issues what so ever. AND GOT SAUCE. An issue with how the market area is run is everything is single use and disposable which is so wasteful. Perhaps the restaurant is better.
