Abbey - Donegal

Great beds, great wifi, great food, great room and bath, great service! Is there anything else that you could ask for?

Our stay was very nice. Friendly service but not the most helpful with questions about town. Definitely visit the tourist office just down the street for help. The Wi-Fi was awful, never really worked so we ended up having to turn phone data on (international travelers). The beds are also painfully uncomfortable, but the bedding was nice. And housekeeping was great! They cleaned and made up the beds every day! The walk in shower was very lovely and they have towel warmers (ours didn’t work sadly)! Breakfast was good but not many options for dairy free/vegetarian, even the scrambled eggs have milk. Fried eggs are safe tho and they did get me some almond milk for cereal. Definitely check out the bar at night for great live music. Lastly, this is a great central location to walk around town and they are right at the bus stop!

The food was great but our room was a little tired. The carpet was a bit wrinkly but everything was clean. There was no AC but the windows opened so we we’re fine overnight. We were surprised to see that smoking was allowed on the steps of the front entrance of the hotel so we had to walk in and out past the smokers.

A very nice hotel in center of town. Breakfast was great and included in our rate. Staff was helpful and friendly. Donegal is a lovely and fun town.

Right in the centre Of Donegal town so a great location. No hotel parking but on street parking available for a euro overnight.
