I recently ordered the ATOMIC wings, all flats, from WingStop because I'm still in search of truly spicy hot wings, and they've completely won me over! I usually prefer my wings extra crispy, so I drizzle them with honey and pop them in my toaster for that ideal crunch! They're hot, crispy, and packed with triple the spice!
I had my order delivered for the first time, and it arrived hot, well-packaged, and on time. However, there was one issue: they never seem to read the online order correctly. I requested half boneless and half original wings, but I consistently receive all original wings instead of the boneless ones. This is the third time this has happened. Despite this, it seems like this location is making an effort to improve. I hope they can stay on track and start getting orders right.
I tried to place an order for my teenage daughter, but the order wouldn't go through and I ended up being charged twice. I spoke with a young lady who was probably the only pleasant person there, about getting a refund. However, Lisa yelled loudly that they wouldn't issue refunds, and when I tried to explain the situation, she just walked away. Another woman attempted to assist me as I showed her the double charge, but Lisa kept shouting about what she wasn’t willing to do. She then said she would prepare my order, but I was certainly not comfortable with that after her behavior—I didn’t want her to spit in my food! To make matters worse, there was no receipt for my order, and Lisa kept trying to scribble it down. At that point, I lost all desire to eat at Wingstop. My trust was completely gone, especially after I saw Lisa eating while preparing orders! Another significant issue was that all orders were taking over an hour to be made, even though the app stated it would only take 8-13 minutes. This store really needs to be closed down or completely staffed with new people, starting with Lisa, the Assistant General Manager, who wore a long red wig and no hair net!
I decided to give this restaurant another chance about a week ago. I say "another" because the last time I visited, I waited about 35 minutes and when my food finally arrived, it was cold since they had completely forgotten about me, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. So, I gave it one last shot. I ordered 20 classic wings, but half of them were dry and overcooked, while the other half were both overcooked and smothered in sauce. To be fair, the girl who took my order was quite nice. However, overall, I can't recommend this place.
I visited for the first time, and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with the food. The lemon herb dish was bland, the Hawaiian option was disappointing, and the fries tasted as if they had been cooked the day before. This restaurant on Chapel Hill either needs to close or undergo a complete retraining. I ordered the Latta special, but it was so unappealing that it ended up being thrown out—there was an excess of oil at the bottom of the tray, and the chicken didn’t even have any lemon on it. The presentation was nothing like what was advertised. Management and owners really need to take a closer look at this location.
