The bhuna lacked flavor and texture, and the bhuna in my sagwalla seemed to be precooked. Unfortunately, I was not a fan. While the naan bread was fresh, it was bland and lacked spice. Overall, I felt like the meal was lacking compared to our previous experiences at the restaurant. It was not up to par and I don't think it was worth the price. We left feeling unsatisfied, which is rare for us.
An excellent meal, as always. wait a little longer than usual because it was very busy, but the food quality was not affected.
We are regulars to Lye curry houses. Hadn’t been to Spice Village for a while so decided to go. It was early on a Saturday evening in January so we knew they wouldn’t be busy so didn’t book. Despite there being only tables occupied...they sat us right at the back by the kitchen and toilet. I would expect that table if the restaurant was packed but not nearly empty! We didn’t complain because they may have been expecting a lot of other diners with bookings for all we knew. Only one other table of customers came in all the time we were there. In hindsight we should have asked for another table. That said the food was absolutely delicious as ever and well presented. I’m surprised that they don’t realise that putting as many customers at tables by the window shows they are lively and will be more likely to get trade from those who are browsing the street considering where to eat. Won’t be back in a hurry as there are loads of other fabulous curry houses in the same street.
Hi spice village sorry forgot waiters name botla bhai i think. Its lal bhai from fusion Your foods good But reh bhai the romanians outside dont help. Hopefully u dont have to close shop like bengal fusion due to there customers getting robbed by romanians
Ordered food from here via just eat family of four husband I x kids so ordered: x chicken baltis, pilau rice, special biryani, chips, chicken tikka naan a mixed grill main. Mixed grill main thought was a...starter to share I did order it as a starter to share but for contents was disappointing. I thought it had a funny taste so flicked a few bits to one side not wanting to say anything to my husband because he is real fussy when he sat down started his he said there's a funny taste to this! I'm on the phone to the restaurant about the starter whilst hubby is dishing out our mains (kids already fed no complaints from them chicken Balti, pilau rice plain nan) when my hubby shouts what's this on top of your Biryani I said it should be an omelette he says no there is an omelette but something else tried it Bananna yak allergic great. Restaurant says there special biryani comes with omelette bananas but the just eat menu ask you which you want to order I ordered Omelette. restaurant said I needed to take it up with just eat because this dish comes with both banana omlette not a choice of either so I have they will take hours to look into so in the meantime no Anniversary meal for us!! What cant be Just eats fault surely though is the chicken Tikka Naan yes it was orange in the middle so had definitely seen some tikka sauce but the chicken must have done a runner because there was no chicken...…….. Can understand the potential menu mix up on just eat re the biryani but the miced grill main Naan bread disappointing
