Mayfly - Dullstroom

So disappointing. chips brown and overcooked. Peaceful calamari soggy and oily. such a disappointment.

Quality f foods under average. cheese sauce was burned. far too much cranberry jelly on the steak (1/2) cup. carpaccio has cut too thick.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food when it arrived. The mushrooms were overly cheesy, making them soggy, and the garlic chicken lacked flavor. Additionally, the bread served with it was very hard. After this, we decided not to order anything else and left the restaurant. I spoke with the chef manager about our experience before we departed. We paid our bill and then explored the nearby shops.

The service was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. The broken mushroom and pizza were both delicious. The cheese in the roasted cheese dish was a bit harder than I anticipated, I would have preferred a more melt-in-your-mouth texture. However, overall it was a pleasant dining experience.

Busy place in a small town. Good variety of options on the menu. Unfortunately they had issues with the pizza oven so food took an hour to come. The trout dish was great. The lasagne was very avg. Will try them next time again.
